CarryOn Homes at the Weisman Art Museum (Opening Reception for Baggage Claim Exhibition)
For those who are in motion the suitcase becomes a home. What’s inside these suitcase? What do people carry with them when travelling? What make them feel at home? For the Opening Reception of Baggage Claim, CarryOn Homes was invited by the Weisman Art Museum to design and interactive project that engaged with ideas of home, global migration and connectedness.
People were given a postcard containing a special name tag. On the enclosed name tag participants wrote down the object that they always bring with them when traveling. The tags encouraged people to interact and lean more about each other’s journeys.
